The Bar

For five hundred years the Inn has been a warm, convivial meeting place for locals and visitors alike.

The low ceiling with heavy oak beams is unchanged since Charles Dickens enjoyed a glass of ale whilst staying at The Bull in 1859.

The walls are adorned with ancient artefacts including a valuable array of antique weaponry.
The town’s original ducking stool and an antique brass water clock above the roaring log fire provide further evidence that this is the genuine article - the antithesis of the modern British ‘themed’ pub.

A comprehensive selection of beverages is available. The highlight here though is undoubtedly the selection of cask conditioned ales.
