From Entre deux Mers this wine is light in style but retains classic varietal flavours of cassis and dark berries. Predominately Merlot with a little cabernet franc the palate is soft and smooth making for very easy drinking.

A spectacular pure Cabernet varietal! Only four thousand cases of this gorgeously rich, medium to full bodied vintage were produced. A dense ruby/purple colour is followed by copious quantities of creme de cassis, spice, and earth aromas.

The appeal of sauvignon - in this case softened by the addition of 10% semillion - is of freshness and vibrancy. A cool climate is key and at 3500 feet above sea level the vines are the highest in Australia. Although nicely rounded with fruit filled scents the style is more restrained denoting a more subtle European influence.

This is a real class act showing the kind of balance and length associated with its more expensive neighbours in the Côtes d'Or. The hallmarks of well made Chardonnay are evident with rich buttery flavours and a nutty finish with just the right amount of freshening acidity.
